Breaking News: AnupamP Kher has resigned as Chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India. He has cited his commitment to international TV shows  to the leading news agency PTI.

The 63-year-old Actor Anupam Kher, was appointed Chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in 2017.

Anupam Kher has learned acting from the National School of Drama.He was born on 7 March 1955 in Shimla.Anupam has worked in many TV shows with several films. So far, he has worked in more than 500 films. Anupam has also been Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification and National School of Drama.

Anupam Kher has won the Filmfare award 8 times so far. In which 5 times he has won the Filmfare for Best Comedian award.

Anupam Kher will be seen in Indian biographical political drama film directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte. The movi is titled The Accidental Prime Minister. It is written by Mayank Tewari and slated to release 7 December 2018.Its story is penned by Sanjaya Baru.It is produced by Sunil Bohra. It has Music director Salim–Sulaiman while Screenplay is done by  Mayank Tewari.

Sharing the news Anupam Kher tweeted, “It has been an honour,  a privilege & a great learning experience to be the Chairman of the prestigious @FTIIOfficial. But because of my international assignments I won’t have much time to devote at the institute. Hence decided to send my resignation. Thank you.”
