Famous Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is busy promoting his new film 'Signature' these days. The story of this film revolves around a man named 'Arvind', who is struggling with his wife's serious illness after 35 years of marriage. The story of Anupam Kher's personal life also matches a lot with the character shown in this film, because his wife Kiran Kher has also fought cancer.

Personal experience incorporated into the character

Anupam Kher recently spoke in an interview about how he drew upon his personal experiences to play his character in the film. While talking to India Today Digital, Anupam said that some scenes in the film touched his soul as these scenes were similar to his real life situations. He said that when the film was being shot, his wife Kiran Kher was undergoing treatment for cancer. He decided to bring his emotions into his acting to make his character more lively. Anupam said, "My wife Kiran was unwell, and she was undergoing treatment for cancer. So the emotions that were seen in the scenes of the film came from my real experiences."

Treatment done in India instead of abroad

Anupam Kher also told in this interview why he decided to get Kiran treated in India instead of abroad. He said that our country also has the best doctors and facilities. Anupam told that he had an experience with Rishi Kapoor when he went to America for treatment. Rishi Kapoor had told how difficult it is to get treatment while staying away from home and family. That is why Anupam Kher decided to get Kiran treated in India.

Important support from Anil Ambani

Anupam Kher also shared that they had gone abroad for Kiran Kher's initial treatment, but Anil Ambani played a huge role in her return to India. Anil Ambani sent his plane to bring Kiran back, and she was successfully treated here. Expressing his gratitude to Anil Ambani, Anupam said, "I will always be grateful to Anil Ambani for the support he gave us at that time."
