In the video which Akshay Kumar liked, a student is seen saying, 'Delhi Police is constantly pouring tear gas and bullets on us.' In the video, all the students are seen running around. Akshay liked this tweet while scrolling. Later, he gave a clarification and later he had to tweet. Akshay wrote- "The tweet of that video of Jamia was accidentally liked while scrolling. I do not support such an act. I immediately unlocked it."

According to the sources, on Sunday evening, several buses were set on fire during the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act at Sarai Julena area and Mathura Road adjacent to Jamia Millia Islamia. Fire brigades and police vehicles rushed to extinguish the fire were also vandalized. Apart from this, the students and staff of Jamia allege that Delhi Police used force on them without any provocation and entered the University campus without permission.
