Anurag said that 'Sushant was super successful at that time and was taking his own decisions. I met Sushant soon after completing the casting of 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. If I had met Sushant before, I would definitely cast him in this film.'

He also said that after this, he had met Sushant with Abhishek Kapoor. Sushant made his debut in 2013 with his film 'Kai Po Chhe'. Beyond all these things, Anurag said that in the year 2014, he produced the film 'Hasee Toh Phasee' with Dharma Productions and Sushant was to be cast in this film too, but at that time Sushant signed Yash Raj Films 'Shuddh Desi Romance'. Anurag also wanted to take Sushant for the film 'Mukkabaaz', but at that time Sushant had signed the film 'Drive' of Dharma Production.
