Andhra Pradesh: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, disbursed Rs 1,024 crores to the mothers of 10,68,150 students across the state on Friday as part of the state's flagship scheme Jagananna Vasathi Deevena, which assists students with boarding and lodging costs for the academic year 2021-22.

"They are now demanding accountability by transferring financial aid straight into mothers' accounts. It grants them the authority to query the college's management. We put a lot of pressure on mothers to deal with college and the future of their children "While speaking to the students here, Reddy stated.

He went on to say that every student should be allowed to finish their education since it is their right.

"Our government will make certain that every student receives a good education. They should concentrate solely on the studies and be unconcerned about other matters "According to the Chief Minister.

The state government is crediting the sum straight to the bank accounts of mothers of students under Jaganna Vasathi Deevena with the goal of ensuring that no students are denied higher education owing to poverty and that parents do not become in debt for their children's education expenses.

The government pays the students in two instalments every year under the scheme, allowing them to cover their boarding and accommodation costs. ITI students are eligible for Rs 10,000, Polytechnic students for Rs 15,000, and Degree, Engineering, and Medicine students for Rs 20,000.
