Apple CEO Tim Cook made his second visit to China this year, as the tech giant faces declining sales in a vital overseas market. Cook shared the news on social media, expressing his engagement with Chinese university students who are using Apple products to promote sustainable farming practices.

In a video posted on his official social media page, Cook also took a walk through a historic part of Beijing with fashion photographer Chen Man. "It's great to be back in Beijing," he wrote.

Despite a reported profit of $21.4 billion in the three months ending June, with revenue of $85.8 billion—a five percent increase from the previous year--Apple’s sales in China have faced increasing competition. Domestic brands like Huawei have gained market share, pushing Apple to the sixth position among smartphone vendors in China for the second quarter, a drop from its third-place standing during the same period last year.

Cook's previous visit to China in March included opening a new Apple store in Shanghai and participating in a business forum in Beijing alongside other industry leaders.
