New Delhi: After releasing their beta versions last month, Apple has now released the final versions of the iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 updates for iPhones and iPads, respectively.
The most recent OS updates include VoiceOver support for maps, notifications for web apps, and 21 new emojis. For iPads and iPhones, they also include bug fixes and security updates.
Animals, hand gestures, and objects are among the 21 new emojis that were added to the emoji keyboard with the iOS 16.4 update. Now, web apps receive notifications on the home screen.

The voice isolation feature, which reduces background noise and gives a user's voice priority during phone calls, was added by the update. Additionally, it makes it possible to find duplicate images or videos in an iCloud Shared Photo Library.
VoiceOver support for maps has been added in iOS 16.4's Weather app. It includes a setting for automatic video dimming in response to light flashes and strobe effects.

On the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro, the update improves crash detection. It includes a fix for children's "Ask to Buy" requests that might not be showing up on the device of the parent. Thermostats that work with Matter have also been a topic of discussion.
21 new emojis, notifications for web apps on the home screen, duplicate photo/video detection in an iCloud Shared Photo Library, VoiceOver support for maps, and an accessibility setting to automatically dip video are all included in the iPadOS 16.4 update. Users can preview their drawing at any angle before creating it in Notes thanks to the addition of tilt and azimuth support for Apple Pencil hover.
The Apple Pencil's responsiveness issue when sketching or taking notes in the Notes app was fixed in the iPadOS 16.4 update.
The problem where children's "Ask to Buy" requests might not be getting through to parents' devices has been addressed. It also fixes the issue where Matter-compatible thermostats stop working after being paired with Apple Home.

Apple's stable versions of iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 are now being distributed globally for iPhones and iPads following the beta release. However, some features might not be available for all Apple devices or might only be available in a specific region.
