Indian musician AR has been selected as the ambassador of the BAFTA Breakthrough initiative in India. Yes and because of that Indian music composer A.R. Rahman is very happy. This is a unique opportunity for promising artists supported by a world-renowned organization that will not only have a chance to engage with other talented creatives around the world, but also to receive advice from BAFTA-winners and nominees. Let us also tell you that BAFTA Breakthrough has been going on since 2013 in UK and 2019 in China, but this year for the first time this initiative is recognizing talent from India. Amanda Berry, Chief Executive Officer of BAFTA said, "I am incredibly grateful for the invaluable support of our illustrious Ambassador AR Rahman, who is an industry leader in his creative pursuits and shares our passion for identifying and nurturing new talent We do."

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has reported today that on Monday, that applications are now open for Netflix-backed BAFTA Breakthrough India. As part of this initiative in India, a jury of British and Indian industry experts will select five talents from across India to participate in the year-long mentoring and guidance program.
