In October last year, Facebook was renamed after which the company has started to be known as Meta. Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said that he wants the world to know his company not just as Facebook, but as a metaverse, but it seems that no one around the world has liked the new name of the company. Even after the new name, the disputes are not leaving the company's chase.

Facebook and Instagram may have to be shut down: In a statement, Meta said it would have to shut down its services if it is not allowed to share the data of European users with other countries. Meta has spoken about the fact that users' data is not shared and its services are affected. Based on the user data, the company is also showing ads to the users. Meta  has clearly stated that it has accepted the new terms of 2022, but if it does not get the facility of data transfer, it will have to shut down many of its services, including Facebook, Instagram . Let us know that so far META Europe was storing data on the US server for users, but in the new terms, data sharing is prohibited.

The case with the data server: Not only this, META has also told the Securities and Exchange Commission that if the new framework for the service is not prepared as soon as possible, it will have to stop its services for users in Europe. According to Eu law, users' DATA is not required to remain in Europe, while meta demands that it be allowed to share users' data. Zuckerberg wants the data of users in Europe to start being stored on american servers. According to reports, european data is also being transferred to a US server under the first Privacy Shield law, but this law was terminated by the European Court of Justice in July 2020. With the Privacy Shield, Meta is also using standard contractual clauses to store the data of European users on us servers, but this too is also being processed in many countries, including Europe.
