Bangalore: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested another suspected terrorist from Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. He was identified as Arif. It is alleged that the arrested radical Arif was in touch with terrorists sitting outside the country through the Internet. He wanted to go to Afghanistan and Iran and join the terrorist organization. He was arrested by the NIA on Saturday (February 11).

According to reports, terrorist Arif is a software engineer by profession. He used to work in a software company in Bangalore. It is alleged that he was connected to the terrorist organization Al Qaeda through the Internet for the last two years. However, Arif's involvement in any terrorist activity could not be confirmed before. Reports quoted sources as saying that the arrested terrorist Arif was trying to join the Khorasan Group (ISK) of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization. For this, he was going to Afghanistan and Iran. However, before that, the police and NIA arrested him. The NIA is currently interrogating Arif. Also, the agency seized his laptop and other electronic devices and is investigating.

Earlier on January 7, 2023, the Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal caught 2 terrorists. At present, the NIA is investigating the case. Reports quoted NIA sources as saying that the accused had been on the NIA's most-wanted list for a long time. The terrorists were identified as Mohammad Saddam and Syed Ahmed. Saddam had been associated with ISIS for the past two years.  Preliminary investigation revealed that the two terrorists were brainwashing Muslim youths by inciting them to join ISIS. At the same time, they were collecting funds to expand their network. Both terrorists used to post inflammatory videos and posts on social media to make Muslims fight against the country. Officials suspect that some youths have come to their talks. The agencies suspect that they are behind a major Islamic terrorist organization, which is operating from Pakistan or any other country.
