Filmmaker Arindam Sil?s upcoming film ?Mayakumari? was earlier supposed to release on June 16 last year, but it got halted due to corona epidemic. As per the revised SOPs from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, now the film will release at 100% capacity in the theatres.

Talking about the cast of the film, it features stars like Abir Chatterjee, Rajatava Dutta, Arunima Ghosh, Sourav Das, Anindita Basu, Indrasish Roy in pivotal roles. Apart from these, Rituparna is going to play the lead role in this film. This is the first film of Rituparna with filmmaker Arindam Sil. The film ?Mayakumari? is produced by Camellia Productions and music is given by Bickram Ghosh.

Talking about the story, it revolves around a girl named Maya Kumari played by Rituparna, and guy named Kanan Kumar played by Abir. They formed a hit pair of 1940?s Bengali cinema. At the peak of her career, Mayakumari takes a take-off and due to this, her fans and followers start speculating about her sudden disappearance. The truth is she leaves films to live her life with her husband Sital Bhattacharya (Rajatava Dutta) far from the glamorous world. But what happens next will be seen in the film.
