India's young Grand Master, 18-year-old Arjun Arigasi, who is playing for the first time in The Tepa Sigman International Chess, has been ranked sixth in the competition and has moved up 3 points with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss after 5 rounds with his performance so far. In the 5th round, Arjun had played top seed Jordan van Forrest of the Netherlands with black pawns and in the Bishop's opening he had maintained the balance of the game from the beginning and the match between the pawn swap was almost to be a draw, but then in the 47th move of the game, due to the wrong move of Jordan's horse, he had a great chance to win which he could capitalize on. He did not succeed and the match ended in a draw after 50 moves.
In the competition, America's Neman Hans's brilliant game continued in the 5th round and he defeated Alexei Shirov of Spain and has also taken the singles lead by scoring 4 points.
