On Saturday, Indian Army President General Manoj Mukund Narwane held the first media conference in Delhi. In which he shared his foresight about the army in the coming days. He said that in the days to come, attention will be given to quality and not the number in the army. Be it buying equipment for the army or recruiting soldiers. He said that we will have to prepare and train the soldiers for the future. Today the army is better prepared than before.

In his statement, the Chief of Army Staff in the conference said that the focus of the training will be on preparing the army for future wars which will be network-focused and complex. This is where the emphasis will be on our training. Our focus will be on integration within the military and between all services. We will take everyone along. General Narwane said that the formation of Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) and creation of the Department of Military Affairs is a very big step towards integration and we will ensure from our side that it is successful.

As an army, we take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of India and it guides us towards our every action. Justice, freedom, equality, and fraternity guide us in the constitution. Regarding the expansion of military infrastructure in the border region by China, Army Chief Narwane said that we are ready to deal with the challenges emerging on the northern border. Apart from this, he further said that on the remarks of the political leadership to include Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in India, the army chief said, it is a parliamentary resolution that the whole of Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India. If Parliament wants this, then that area (PoK) should also be in India. When we get any order in this regard, we will take appropriate action.
