New Delhi: An Indian Army commander has praised the Modi government, saying the decisions taken in the recent past on Jammu and Kashmir reflect a strong leadership. Army Commander Lt Gen JS Nain on Wednesday said the decisions are taken in the last few years, including the abrogation of Article 370, the delimitation of Jammu and Kashmir and the status of a planned state, demonstrate strong and decisive leadership.
According to a statement, he said that these decisions taken by the leadership are taking forward a secular, pluralistic agenda, which is very important for the development and betterment of Jammu and Kashmir. Lt Gen JS Nain was speaking at a webinar on the security situation in Kashmir organised by the Desert Corps in Jaipur on Wednesday. In a statement, the Army said, "An audit of infrastructure development and socio-economic impact can be considered for better policy-making decisions.''
According to a statement issued by the Army's Public Relations Officer for Rajasthan, Nain stressed the need for reforming the education system to ensure that the youth remain connected to the mainstream. He also spoke about the need for protection against narco-terrorism and infiltration into core institutions.
