Amidst the lockdown and corona crisis, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant has said that Arogya Setu, the app that tracked Covid connectivity, has alerted the government to more than 650 hotspots across the country. These hotspots could have been bypassed. Amitabh Kant also claimed that now the app, which has become mandatory for all government employees, has warned about more than 300 emerging hotspots, which has helped the government to move quickly.
