During the lockdown in India, there is a lot of problem regarding the food items. Triveni Super Market, which operates under the Kerala State Cooperative Consumer Federation Limited (Consumerfed), has launched 12 moving shops to distribute essential commodities amid lockdowns. It has also started home delivery of essential commodities.

On this matter, TS Sindhu (Regional Manager, Consumerfed) said, 'We currently operate 12 mobile supermarkets in Thiruvananthapuram which distribute all the essential items to the people. This is done with the support of resident associations. In view of the demand, Triveni has now started home delivery and we have also issued helpline numbers for placing orders. Boys do home delivery on motorcycles.

In his statement further, Petom Sasidharan Nair, General Secretary of Federation of Residents Association Thiruvananthapuram (FRAT) said, 'A very useful work is being done by sending consumers mobile supermarkets to residential areas.
