When Karsevaks were fired upon on Mulayam's orders:-
On October 30, 1990, thousands of Ram devotees gathered in Ayodhya for Karseva. During this Mulayam Singh Yadav was the CM of UP. Enraged by this program of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Mulayam Singh Yadav ordered punishment. When the Karsevaks started moving towards the Ram temple, the police first lathi-charged them, and then later on, following the orders of Mulayam, indiscriminate firing was carried out on the devotees of Ram. Hundreds of Karsevaks were killed in this and many were injured. Later, on 6 February 2014, in a public meeting held in Mainpuri district, Mulayam Singh Yadav admitted that in 1990 the police had fired on Karsevaks in Ayodhya on his orders. Wherein, After this order, people started calling Mulayam Singh as Mullah Mulayam. Mulayam Singh was badly defeated in the assembly elections held in 1991 after the incident of firing on Ram devotees and the BJP was able to form the government with an absolute majority.
The guest house incident took place at the behest of Mulayam:-
In the politics of UP, the day of June 2, 1995, is known as the State Guest House incident. At that time Kanshi Ram was the chief of BSP. SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav wrote a new chapter in politics in 1993 by forging an alliance with Kanshi Ram. Both parties fought the assembly elections together and got power, but only after two years, there was a turning point in this relationship, which changed the politics of UP. On June 2, 1995, BSP announced the withdrawal of support from the government due to internal conflict in the coalition government. Due to this Mulayam government came in minority. Enraged by this, the SP workers, under the leadership of MPs and MLAs, started surrounding the State Guest House at Meerabai Marg, Lucknow, crossing all limits. It is said that at that time BSP leader Mayawati was staying in room number 1 of this guest house. BSP MLAs and workers were also present there. But Mulayam Singh's workers took them hostage. The situation had become such that the domineering leaders of the SP started kidnapping the MLAs of the BSP and Mayawati locked the room from the inside to save herself. This drama went on for many hours. Eventually, due to the intervention of some BJP leaders, the matter reached the Raj Bhavan and the police became active and somehow Mayawati was rescued from there.
