New Delhi: Today is the birthday of Jagat Prakash Nadda i.e. JP Nadda. Nadda was born on December 2, 1960. Nadda belongs to the State of Himachal Pradesh, India. On the strength of his ability, JP Nadda has made a high stature in the BJP today. JP Nadda is counted among the powerful leaders of the Himachal Pradesh BJP. He started his political journey with the JP movement in the year 1975. Nadda also joined this movement, which counted among the biggest movements in the country.  

After participating in this movement, JP Nadda joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the BJP of Bihar. After which JP Nadda contested the student union elections in his college in 1977 and won and became the secretary of Patna University. At the same time, after graduating from Patna University, Nadda started studying LLB at Himachal Pradesh University. During this time, he also contested the student union elections at Himachal Pradesh University and won it. Nadda was appointed national general secretary of the All India Janata Yuva Morcha by the BJP in 1991. After this, in the year 1993, JP Nadda contested from the Bilaspur seat of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly and won. After this, he was elected leader of the opposition in the state assembly.

Similarly, Nadda again contested and won the seat in 1998 and 2007. At the same time, he was also given a place in the state cabinet during this period. He was made the Health Minister of Himachal Pradesh in 1998 and in the year 2007 he was the Minister of Forest, Environment, and Parliamentary Affairs. In view of the way Nadda worked for the BJP, the party sent him to the Rajya Sabha on behalf of Himachal Pradesh in 2012. After this, Nadda's stature in the BJP continued to grow and after the landslide victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he was made the national president of the party.
