Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo And four-time Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati is celebrating her birthday today. Today Mayawati is a big name in the whole country and she has a lot of respect, but it was not easy for her to reach here. She faced difficulties at every step, which Mayawati faced without fear, with full force and courage. One such story related to his life is the guest house incident.

What happened in Uttar Pradesh politics on June 2, 1995, would hardly have happened anywhere. Mayawati cannot forget that time for the rest of her life. If you call that day a black day in state politics, then nothing will be wrong. That day, a frenzied mob was hell bent on attacking the Dalit leader's father in the name of teaching him a lesson. There's a lot of talk about that day. What happened that day?

It is still a matter of curiosity as to what happened on June 2, 1995, at the State Guest House in Lucknow. In Ajay Bose's book Behenji, based on Mayawati's life, you can get information about the incident that took place that day in the guest house. In the election held in 1993, there was a now rare alliance, between the SP and the BSP. This alliance won in the election and Mulayam Singh Yadav became the head of the state.

However, due to mutual discord, on June 2, 1995, the BSP walked out of the government and announced the withdrawal of support. Because of this, Mulayam Singh's government came to a minority. Various things started happening to save the government. In such a situation, when things did not work out, angry SP workers and MLAs reached the state guest house at Mirabai Marg in Lucknow where Mayawati was staying in room number 1.

BJP MLA saved Mayawati's honour

It is said that in 1995, when some goons locked the BSP supremo in a room and tore her clothes. Bjp MLA Brahmdutt Dwivedi, who fought alone with the goons who were attacked, still broke the door of the guesthouse and rescued Mayawati ji safely.

In Uttar Pradesh politics, this incident is called the Guest House scandal and it is a stigma on the forehead of India's politics. Mayawati herself has said many times that when I was in trouble, people of my own party ran away in fear of those goons, but Brahmadutt Dwivedi bhai saved my life without caring for his life.
