Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, also known as the BJP's Chanakya, had a special attachment to Punjab. Jaitley, who has made his place in Centre politics, had an unbreakable relationship with Amritsar or rather blood. That is why he contested from here and despite his defeat, his special attachment continued. In fact, his family found Shelter hereafter the India-Pakistan partition. Upon his arrival from Lahore, his aunt had given shelter to his father and five brothers.
