Itanagar: The total number of infected people has increased to 51,139 after 166 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Arunachal Pradesh. A senior health department official said this on Saturday. State Monitoring Officer Dr. Lobsang Jampa has said that 41 new cases of infection have been registered from the Capital Complex area while 19 cases have been reported from Lower Subansiri and 14 from Changlang.

He said the death toll due to corona infection of a 30-year-old woman in the Capital Complex area has gone up to 252. Jampa said the number of active cases in the state is 2,289, while 48,598 people have recovered from the infection. In the last 24 hours, 271 people have recovered.  State monitoring officer Dr. Lobsang Jampa further said that the rate of recovery from coronavirus infection in the state is 95.03 percent and the infection rate is 4.26 percent.

So far, 9.9 lakh samples have been tested for Covid-19 in the state. Out of these, 3893 samples have been examined on Friday. Meanwhile, state immunization officer Dr. Dimong Padung said that 9.05 lakh people have been vaccinated in the state so far.
