Hundreds of aspirants staged a protest outside the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) headquarter, demanding that the recently held stenographer examination's skill test be re-conducted.

Boria Tuki, general secretary of the Unemployed Stenography Association of Arunachal Pradesh (USAAP), told the media reporters at the APSSB headquarters on Tuesday that no hopefuls were able to pass the talent test owing to a sudden change in the Recruitment Rules (RR) and software by the board authority. He stated that about 2,000 candidates took part in the competitive exam that was held recently from January 29 to January 31.

He also stated that, unlike the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), the test was supposed to be performed using automated audio dictation, but that the APSSB skill test was conducted using a manual process, which resulted in the already programmed answers in the software not being detected during the manual process.

"They also changed the regulation without alerting the applicants a day before the exam. As a result, we encouraged the APSSB to re-conduct the stenographer test in accordance with the rules "Added he.
