New Delhi: The Yamuna river water in the national capital has become completely poisonous due to chemicals emanating from dirty drains and factories. In view of the convenience of devotees on the occasion of Chhath, Delhi Jal Board employees are now spraying water on the river Yamuna to get rid of the poisonous foam. People on social media have been trolling the Kejriwal government over the same. In this case, Delhi Jal Board employee Ashok Kumar told the media that he will spray water in Yamuna water along the river to get rid of foam by evening. It is part of a plan to eliminate poisonous foam for Chhath Puja where devotees take a dip in the river praying to the sun.

However, the netizens do not understand how the river will be cleaned after the water is sprinkled. At the same time, it is also bothering the people as to why the Arvind Kejriwal-led State Government had sanctioned Rs.2,000 crores for cleaning the river when poisonous foam could have been tackled in such an easy manner.
