Bangalore: Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister and national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), would visit the Bangalore city on Thursday, April 21 and deliver a message of "new age politics" to the people of Karnataka, said the party leaders here.

On the invitation of Karnataka Rajya Raita Sangha chairman and farmer leader Kodihalli Chandrashekhar, he would attend a convention of farmers, women, youth, and people from other parts of society.  The visit by Kejriwal comes as the AAP prepares to make an impact in Karnataka during the 2023 Assembly elections.

AAP Karnataka Convener Prithvi Reddy said that AAP is a platform for people who fight for farmers' rights, and that the party intends to elect such people to the Vidhana Soudha to address the difficulties that farmers face.

"It will be a momentous occasion." Farmers in the state have voted for numerous parties to power in the past, but all they have obtained in return is false promises and deception. Farmers in the state have opted to get involved in politics and help define their future. After researching all of the parties, they now believe that only the AAP is working to resolve issues by understanding the people's problems," he stated.

Kejriwal would also discuss how ordinary people can start a "new age politics," as he did in Delhi and Punjab, and how it can be repeated in Karnataka, as well as how to launch a "revolution," he said, adding that multiple inductions into the party are likely to take place on the occasion.  On April 21, at 11 a.m., a farmers' conference will be placed on the National College grounds.
