New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has dealt a severe blow to opposition unity. In fact, Kejriwal has flatly denied any grand alliance for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He has said that his alliance will only be "with 130 crore Indians." Addressing an event in Nagpur, Kejriwal said he could never understand multi-party alliances and had no interest in any alliance.

Kejriwal further said, "I don't know how to do politics and I don't understand their alliance of 10 or more parties and the alliance to be formed to defeat someone. I don't want to defeat anyone, I want the country to win. In the backdrop of concerns that some states and even the country are heading towards economic instability, Kejriwal said such apprehensions are baseless.'' He further said "All these economists are writing that subsidy culture will ruin the country. He never wrote that the culture of corruption would destroy the country. I am able to give things for free because we have eliminated corruption. So the money being saved is returned to the public.''

Without naming the BJP, Kejriwal said at present a "big party" is plotting hooliganism, riots, and taking out a welcome procession for the rapists. "The country cannot move beyond this kind of hooliganism. If you want hooliganism and riots, you can go with them, but if you want to progress, you want schools and hospitals, you can come with me. Let's form a coalition of 130 crore common people. Let me tell you that, this statement of Kejriwal has come as a big shock to the opposition, which is planning to fight against the BJP in 2024 by uniting all parties.
