New Delhi: Sunita Kejriwal, wife of CM Arvind Kejriwal, arrested in the Delhi liquor scam, has made a big claim that she has said that Arvind Kejriwal will tell the entire country on March 28 that the money from this alleged liquor scam was stolen. Sunita Kejriwal has also said that ED has conducted more than 250 raids in the last 2 years in connection with this so-called liquor scam. Arvind Kejriwal is looking for the money of this so-called liquor scam. So far, not a single penny has been found in any of the raids. ED raided Manish Sisodia's house, raided Sanjay Singh's house. But not a single penny was received.

Kejriwal was arrested in the liquor scam: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was taken into custody by ED from his official residence on March 21 after questioning for about two hours. In the Delhi liquor scam, he was sent to ED custody by Rouse Avenue Court till March 28. Even after his arrest, Arvind Kejriwal has not resigned from the post of Chief Minister. Aam Aadmi Party leaders have said that he will remain the Chief Minister of Delhi and will run the government from jail if necessary.
What was the new liquor policy?
- On March 22, 2021, Manish Sisodia had announced the new liquor policy. The new liquor policy i.e. Excise Policy 2021-22 has been implemented on 17 November 2021.
- After the new liquor policy, the government has come out of the liquor business. And entire liquor shops went into private hands.
The government's reasoning behind bringing the new policy was that it would end the mafia rule and would also increase the government's revenue.
However, the new policy was in controversies from the beginning. When the uproar increased, on July 28, 2022, the government canceled the new liquor policy and implemented the old policy again.
