Hyderabad encounter: Post-mortem of four accused begins, court says,

Hyderabad: The post-mortem of the four accused killed in the Hyderabad encounter is being done again on Monday. A three-member team from AIIMS Delhi reached Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad on Monday morning. The body of the four accused has been kept here. AIIMS Dr. Sudhir Gupta, Dr. Abhishek Yadav, and Dr. Adarsh Kumar started the post-mortem from 9 am. Postmortem is being done again on the order of Telangana High Court.

The four accused of gangrape and murder were killed by the police in an alleged encounter on December 6. The court ordered the superintendent of Gandhi Hospital to do a post-mortem before 5 o'clock in the evening of 23 December with a team of forensic experts from AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), New Delhi. After this, the court also issued instructions to hand over the dead bodies to the families of the dead.

The bench of Chief Justice R.S. Chauhan and Justice A. Abhishek Reddy asked the officials to videography the post-mortem and present it in the court. The court gave the order on the PIL filed on behalf of Sajaya and others. The PIL filed in the apex court was sent to the High Court and asked to take cognizance of it.
