Aurangabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. He states Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “a liar” for talking of tackling terrorism and yet fielding Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, as a Lok Sabha candidate.

“The PM of India, you are the king of liars...you don’t want to fight terrorism. If you wanted to fight terrorism, if you had class and sincerity, then you would not have made a person with terrorism charges a candidate,” Owaisi said.
Bharatiya Janata Party fielded Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur against Congress' Digvijaya Singh from the Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency. BJP president Amit Shah also supported her candidature and said that the “BJP has decided to field Sadhvi Pragya Thakur against the originator of the term saffron terror Digvijay Singh”.
Criticising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its recent decision to field Sadhvi Pragya as Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal, AIMIM took to Twitter and wrote, "Their [BJP] manifesto says zero tolerance on terrorism, but they [BJP] go ahead and nominate a terror accused [Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur]. What will they [BJP] say to those injured and murdered in Malegaon [blast case]?"
“Samjhauta Express pe jo hamla hua, unhone (Congress) kaha Hindu terror hai, bhagwa aatankwad hai, aur sadhu, sadhviyon ko jail mein daala... Sadhvi Pragya Thakur ko 'bhagwa terror' shabd ke janmdata Digvijay ke khilaf Bhopal se chunav ladane ka kaam BJP karne waali hai," Mr. Shah said in Odisha rally.
Sadhvi Pragya also said that she is looking forward to the electoral contest at hand. "I have already started my work," she said. A day earlier - before her party had named her as its candidate from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat, she had said that she is a nationalist while Digvijaya is not. "This is why if chosen; I would look forward to the election and defeating him."
