New Delhi: AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has announced to contest in West Bengal after performing brilliantly in the Bihar Assembly elections and the Corporation elections in Hyderabad. For whose preparation Owaisi is going to visit Bengal soon. In this regard, Owaisi held an important meeting with the party officials of West Bengal. In this meeting, the strength of the party in a state with 27 per cent Muslim population has been discussed in great detail.

Those who attended the meeting with Owaisi had said that Owaisi would soon conduct a public meeting in West Bengal and conduct an election conclave and AIMIM would focus on only a few seats. Owaisi's AIMIM is expected to field candidates in Muslim-majority areas such as Murshidabad, Malda, Uttar Dinajpur and some other seats. Political experts say that in a state with 294 assembly seats, the Muslim community plays a decisive role in 120 seats. Let me tell you, now less than 6 months are left in the West Bengal assembly elections.

According to sources, in some areas of West Bengal, Owaisi has asked for feedback on the strength of the organization. Sources reveal that 'AIMIM was very active in West Bengal during the anti-CAA-NRC demonstration and there are many factions of the party that have to come together first. Owaisi will visit here strategically with his trusted people from Hyderabad.
