Hyderabad: AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday blamed the Narendra Modi-led government for the current stalemate after the monsoon session of Parliament was repeatedly adjourned and alleged that the government was solely responsible for the non-functioning of Parliament. The Hyderabad MP told the press that the opposition parties want to raise several issues including Pegasus issue, death of people during the second wave of coronavirus, farmers' agitation but the government is not ready to listen and respond.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Musalmeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi questioned, "It is the responsibility of the government to run Parliament. Let the pegasus be debated. Why is the Government scared? What are they trying to hide?'' Owaisi said, "The opposition wants Parliament to run, but the government does not want it to go. You (The Government) want to pass the Bills amidst the uproar. Is this democracy?''

Owaisi alleged, "Is it not the responsibility of the government to run Parliament? The Opposition will speak in Parliament. You have to listen... Whether you believe it or not. We are not being given an opportunity to speak... If Parliament is not functioning, the Modi-led government is solely responsible for it."
