On Wednesday, Asaduddin Owaisi issued his statement regarding Shaheen Bagh. He currently holds demonstrations of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Party. In his statement, Owaisi said that the government can use force to end the agitation in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh, where protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) have been going on for 50 days.
While talking to the news agency ANI over the phone, Owaisi was asked whether there were indications from the government that Shaheen Bagh would be cleared after 8 February. In response to this, he said, 'May be shot at them, Shaheen Bagh can be converted into Jallianwala Bagh. He further said, "It can happen. The BJP minister gave a 'statement of firing'. The government should give an answer as to who is spreading bigotry."

While talking about NPR and NRC further, Owaisi said, "The government should give a clear answer that NRC will not be implemented till 2024. Why are they spending Rs 3900 crore for NPR? I am thinking this because I have been a student of history. Hitler conducted a census twice during his reign. He then pushed the Jews into a gas chamber. I do not want anything like this happening in our country.'' Since the passing of the Citizenship Act 2019 in Parliament in December last year, protests against this law have been taking place in many parts of the country including Shaheen Bagh. Opposition has targeted the government by telling them against Muslims. The government said that rumors are being spread about it.
