Hyderabad: Asaduddin Owaisi, the head of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and MP from Hyderabad, continued to attack the government over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR) is. Owaisi has once again targeted the Modi government while addressing a public meeting in Nizamabad, Telangana on Friday.

Owaisi has said that in the name of CAA and NRC, Home Minister Amit Shah is misleading the country. Amit Shah is saying that there is no connection between citizenship law, NRC and NPR but they are lying. NPR will verify citizenship and later it will become NRC. Owaisi said that the population register is the first step towards NRC.

On the Citizenship Amendment Act, Asaduddin Owaisi said that PM Modi violated the Constitution. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to paint this country in the color of religion. AIMIM President Owaisi has stated that NPR and NRC are two sides of the same coin. Asaduddin Owaisi said that this is not a crisis of dialogue, it is a crisis to save the constitution. He said that this protest is being done to save democracy.
