Hyderabad: Political rhetoric has begun over the violence that broke out during the Ram Navami procession in Khargone in Madhya Pradesh. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has attacked Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan over the incident. Owaisi said that the rule of law in Madhya Pradesh has been dominated by mobocracy.

Owaisi further said that even though chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's ideology justifies the desecration of mosques and attacks on the elderly, he should not forget that he is sitting in a constitutional post. The safety of the lives and property of the people is their responsibility. Owaisi said that under the influence of power, the shelters of the poor are being uprooted. They should remember that today is their government, and tomorrow might not be there. It may be mentioned that, on the occasion of Ram Navami on April 10, a procession was taken out in Khargone. During the yatra, people from a particular community had pelted stones at Julus, after which violence broke out in the entire area.

The miscreants also threw petrol bombs during the violence. In this entire incident, 20 policemen, including the general public, were injured. After which the Shivraj government took action and demolished the houses of stone pelters and miscreants. This action has made Owaisi feel bad. Perhaps he wants the stone pelters to keep throwing stones, creating a nuisance, but no action should be taken against them?
