Lucknow: The battle in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections is becoming interesting. Two days after the attack during the election campaign, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi is campaigning at two places on Saturday i.e. today. But, as per the proposed schedule, Owaisi was scheduled to hold public meetings at three places today, but the district administration did not allow him to hold rallies in Loni.

Owaisi's first rally was going to be held at 12 noon in Loni. However, he is now scheduled to address a public meeting at Garhmukteshwar at 4 pm, after Chaprauli at 2 pm. In fact, on Thursday evening, two youths had opened fire on Asaduddin Owaisi while returning towards Meerut from a public meeting. After this, he was given Z+ security by the central government, which Owaisi has refused to accept.

However, during this time, Owaisi says that he should be allowed to keep a bullet-proof vehicle and a weapon. But they won't take protection from the government. AIMIM has so far released 9 lists of candidates for the UP elections. In such a situation, the names of 72 candidates have been announced in these nine lists.
