Bangalore: The controversy over the right to wear hijab in Karnataka's colleges does not seem to have abated. Rahul Gandhi has also jumped into this controversy. On the one hand, while on Basant Panchami, Rahul attacked some colleges over their orders to come to the college by taking off their hijab, the BJP has now hit back at them.

On Saturday morning, the Congress leader tweeted and wrote that 'We are snatching the future of the daughters of India. He wrote, 'By letting the hijab of girl students come in the way of their education, we are snatching the future of the daughters of the country, Mother Saraswati, give knowledge to all. She doesn't discriminate. Now hitting back at Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka BJP accusing him of "communalising education" tweeted that Rahul once again proved that he is dangerous for India's future.' Along with this, the BJP questioned that, if the hijab is very necessary to be educated, then why does Rahul Gandhi not make it mandatory in Congress-ruled states?

In a government pre-university college in Karnataka, a controversy has started after the order of not allowing girl students to wear hijab. The controversy that began in a college in Udupi soon started in other schools in the district as well. Later, several Hindu students, mostly boys, came to the college wearing saffron shawls in response.
