Gehlot Government is about to start the Indira Rasoi Yojana from today in Rajasthan. It is being started from Thursday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former PM Rajiv Gandhi. Under this scheme, any needy can get nutritious and delicious food for only 8 rupees. In 213 urban bodies of the state, there is a plan to make them sit and serve food through 358 cooks.

These kitchens will be made at major places like railway stations, bus stands and hospitals in various districts of the state. Dal, chapati, vegetable and pickle will be given in the meal. For this, a grant of Rs 12 per plate will be made available by the state government. A target of providing food to 1.34 lakh people per day and 4 crore 87 lakh people per year has been set. Quality of food will be taken special care in this kitchen scheme. The lunch and evening meals have been set in the kitchen. It will be from 8.30 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm in the evening. The entire plan will be monitored online.

Jaipur Collector Antar Singh Nehra said that under this scheme starting from Thursday, it will be started in 20 places in the capital. In these, it will be started at 10-10 locations in Jaipur Greater and Heritage. Under the scheme, anyone can eat food in these kitchens for 8 rupees. The district level committee will regularly check the quality of its food. Complaint will also be lodged if there is lack of quality. All measures will be adopted to protect the corona in the kitchen. Any person can also help for this.
