New Delhi: Ashok Leyland, India's second-largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has secured a substantial defense contract worth Rs. 800 crore from the Indian Army. This significant order entails the supply of 800 buses that will serve multiple purposes within the military, including troop transportation, logistics, and medical evacuation.
Manufactured at Ashok Leyland's facilities in Hosur and Pantnagar, these buses will be equipped with a range of advanced features, including high ground clearance, all-wheel drive, and a payload capacity of up to 10 tonnes.
