Earlier, Ashok Leyland and Nissan joined hands to trade light commercial vehicle LCV in India, but their alliance failed completely and the two companies split. Even after all this stuff was over, Ashok Leyland continued to produce the LCV vehicle in India. Recently Ashok Leyland has been seen for the first time during a road test. During this, its video has also surfaced. This LCV of Ashok Leyland will be launched in the market with BS6 engine. This LCV has been in its category for the last 9 years.

It is worth noting that in this the company has produced itself without any partnership. Talking about its feature, then its engine has been made very powerful, it is fitted with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. This engine has a capacity to withstand a pay-load of 1,475 kg. This engine of Ashok Leyland Dost provides 59 Bhp of power and 170 Newton meter of torque. Its entry-level and mid-level Dost Lite and Dost Strong give 57 bhp of power and 157.5 Newton meter of torque.
