Recently, Bollywood actors Ashutosh Rana and Rajpal Yadav reached the Kotwali police station area, the most affected area of Jabalpur city, during the Coronavirus crisis. They appealed people to maintain social distance. An official of Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Department gave this information on Wednesday.

Film actor Rana Yadav told the police personnel that the sincerity, dedication and honesty they are performing in duty under adverse circumstances is commendable. The two actors gave flowers cold drinks, masks and sanitizers to the police officers and employees. They both appealed to the citizens to follow the rules of lockdown to maintain social distance. The people of Kotwali area were standing in the balcony of the houses to see the actors. With the permission of the district administration, the two actors reached Jabalpur, appealed to the residents to eat nine leaves of basil daily and stay indoors.

Both actors had recently come to Katni district of Madhya Pradesh to meet their spiritual guru Pandit Dev Prabhakar Shastri, known as 'Dadda Ji', and during this time they also came to Jabalpur near Katni. Rana was born in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh and out of 26 cases reported so far in Jabalpur district, three are from this area and one patient has died in Jabalpur district while six patients have recovered.
