New Delhi: Kushagra Rawat has won the fourth gold medal for India in the Asian Age Group Swimming Championships. He finished first in the 400 meters. At the same time, Srihari Nataraj won the gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke with a new meet record. Kushagra took a time of three minutes 55.81 seconds to finish ahead of Taipei's Chang Cheng Li Wei (3: 56.82) and Abbas Omar of Syria (4: 01.52). He said, 'This championship has been good for me so far.'

'I will participate in the 4x200 meter freestyle relay on Friday and I am confident that the Indian team will win it and I will get the fifth medal. I am happy with my time even though I feel I could have done well in the 400m and 800m freestyle.' Adarsh Sajan Prakash of Kushagra also topped the 200-meter butterfly with a time of two minutes 00.38 seconds.

Navafat Wongcheron of Thailand won silver and Clji Ayman of Syria won a bronze medal. Natraj set a new meet record in the 100-meter backstroke with 55.06 seconds. Atayev Mardan of Turkmenistan finished second and Lau Shiu Yui of Hong Kong finished third. Earlier, India's four times 100-meter medley relay team of Natraj, Sajan Prakash, Likith SP and Virdhawal Khade won the gold medal.
