Today is the birthday of Asrani, the very comedian actor of Bollywood. He has made everyone crazy for almost 5 decades with his comedies. Born on 1 January 1941 in Jaipur, Govardhan Asrani had dreams of becoming an actor since childhood and with this dream, he came to Mumbai in the year 1963. He then met filmmakers like Kishore Sahu and Hrishikesh Mukherjee here, at his behest, he enrolled in the Indian Film and Television Institute of Pune. After that, Asrani came to Mumbai after completing acting studies from the Indian Institute of Film and Television in 1996 and started her cine career with the film 'Hare Kanch Ki Chudiya' which was screened in 1967.

After this film, he also worked in some Gujarati films. In the film Mere Apne, released in the year 1971, people liked him and after that in the film Abhimaan, released in 1973, he was liked by the people and he became famous. After this film, he was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor and in the year 1975, the film Sholay, Asrani proved to be a milestone for his cine career and people could not forget him after this film.

Asrani became a hero in Chala Murari in addition to the side role and after the success of becoming a hero, he directed films like Salaam Mem Saab, Hum Nahi Sudharne, Dil Hi To Hai and Udaan. He was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian twice in his cine career, for which he also thanked everyone.
