Diphu: In a tragic incident in Ekrajan village of Kurdong in Karbi Anglong district of Assam, a man named Kamdev Basumatari (45 years) was murdered by his own minor son. According to sources, there was a heated argument between father and son over some issue. In the midst of this altercation, the teenager slit his father's neck with a knife, which led to his death.

According to the information, Basumatari died on the spot. Later his body was recovered from the spot. The Bakaliya police have arrested the juvenile. In another incident, the police have arrested a 45-year-old teacher Manik Nath for allegedly raping him in Assam's Baksa. According to police sources, the teacher has been allegedly physically abusing a nine-year-old girl for several days at Amravati English School. 

Police sources also said that the teacher is the neighbor of the victim minor girl. He used to rape the girl. This time the girl cleverly used her father's phone and recorded the entire incident. Police arrested Nath on the basis of the recorded video and registered a case under POCSO and started investigation.
