A teenage girl's parents in Gujarat's Ahmedabad suffered heart attacks after they learned that their daughter was posting nude pictures on social media. For her online studies, the girl's parents had provided her with a separate room and a mobile phone. The girl, on the other hand, started sharing indecent photos on social media. As per the report, the girl was allegedly convincing her cousins to take to social media and post content similar to hers.
The family dialled the 181 helpline, concerned about the teen's activities. She was given a separate room and a smartphone for online lessons, her parents said. However, the teen started clicking her nude pictures and posted these images on social media. As per the girl's parents, she also asked her cousins to follow her on social media and posts their photographs too.
When her parents realized what was going on, both her father and mother suffered heart attacks. They recovered, but the girl continued to upload obscene photographs on the internet. The counsellors then spoke with the child and informed her that uploading naked photographs online is considered a cybercrime. After that, the girl promised not to upload any more pictures like this in the future and even deactivated her account. The child also informed the counsellors that she would only use her phone for education purposes.
