Assam cabinet reshuffle on Thursday, New oath takes place

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday that two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs will take oath as ministers tomorrow,  as part of the state Cabinet Expansion.

"On Thursday, around 3 p.m., the oath-taking ceremony would take place in Guwahati's Srimanta Sankardev International Auditorium. Two BJP MLAs would be sworn in as ministers "Assam's Chief Minister said in a statement.
The Chief Minister of Assam earlier indicated that one MLA from the hill districts will be inducted into the Assam cabinet. 

The Himanta Biswa Sarma-led cabinet will undergo its first change. On May 10 of last year, Sarma was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Assam.

The Assam Chief Minister had a meeting in Guwahati on Tuesday with senior officials and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sonitpur to discuss the approaching  "Deputy Commissioner's conference.

The meeting was held through virtual meet with with the aim to review the preparations for the conference.
