The HSLC General Science (C3) test that was supposed to take place today has been cancelled by the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA), Assam. The exam was canceled after it came to know that the paper had been leaked and posted on social media. The exam has been cancelled, and a new date would be revealed soon, Assam Education Minister Ronoj Pegu said in a tweet.
In a late-night statement, SEBA stated, "For the benefit of all parties involved, it is being reported that a handwritten sample question paper for the HSLC General Science (C3) subject exam, scheduled for March 13, 2023 (Monday), is in the possession of one candidate and has also been circulated on social media.
The General Science (C3) subject examination, scheduled for March 13, 2023 (Monday), is officially cancelled since we believe that such news may cause confusion in the minds of the candidates. The following date for the General Science examination will be announced as soon as possible.
The Assam Board of Secondary Education has opened an investigation into this matter and will take all required steps in this regard." Assam Police's DGP remarked in the meantime, "Leakage of General Science (C3) exam questions for the March 13, 2023, HSLC test has been reported, and CID Assam would look into the matter. There will be legal action against the offenders and accomplices."
