Guwahati: CM Hemant Biswa Sarma has given a blunt answer to the questions being raised on the demolition of madrasas in Assam. He has said that the madrassas that have been demolished were not education centres but were centres of terrorism. There the future of the children was not being made. There, some people belonging to terrorist organizations were engaged in the work of posing as teachers to divert the children from their path and connect them with terror activities.

Along with this, CM Sarma also commented on former Congress President Rahul Gandhi's visit to India and said that everyone is united in India, Rahul Gandhi should take out a journey in Pakistan and unite them and join Pakistan in India. CM Hemant Biswa Sarma told the media in the national capital that, 'All the demolished madrasas were not madrasas, but were offices of Al-Qaeda. We demolished 2-3 terrorist madrasas and now people are coming to demolish the rest. The Muslim community itself is coming to demolish the madrassas saying that they do not want a madrassa where Al-Qaeda works. This changes the character of the madrasa.'

People themselves broke the madrasa:-

Let us inform you that on Tuesday, a madrasa in Goalpara of the state was demolished by the general public. District Superintendent of Police VV Rakesh Reddy said, 'The local people took the initiative to demolish the madrasa. The government was not involved in this. They were surprised that the jihadi who was arrested was a madrasa teacher. People have given a strong message that they do not support terrorist activities.'
