In Assam's Kamrup Metropolitan district, police seized rugs worth Rs 100 crore on the international market and arrested two people, police said on Wednesday.
Guwahati Police detained a truck coming from Manipur at a toll plaza in the Sonapur police station area after receiving a tip, and recovered 4.6 lakh Yaba tablets, 12 kg of methamphetamine, and 1.5 kg of heroin from the vehicle, according to an official.
The truck's two occupants have been arrested, and an investigation is ongoing, he said.
In a tweet, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated Guwahati Police on their "great victory in the campaign against drugs."
