Guwahati: The state government in Assam is going to conduct a survey there to separate illegal migrants from Bangladesh from the original Muslim population. In fact, according to the survey, the government will identify illegal migrants on the basis of various native Muslim communities. According to a report, the Assam government plans to conduct a survey to identify the people of the four communities - Goria, Moriya, Desi and Jollah as they are considered to be natives of the state.

For information, let us tell you that the Assam government has also started working on its plan. The report said that the state's Minority Welfare Minister Ranjit Dutta has called a meeting of different organizations of these four communities and other parties related to the case, in which a final decision can be taken on the scheme. According to the information given by the Assam Minorities Development Board Chairman Moominul Oval about the scheme, there are a total of 1.3 crore Muslims in Assam, of which about 90 lakh are of Bangladeshi origin.

The remaining 40 lakh population comes from other tribes. He has said that without proper identification, the original Muslim population is not getting the benefit of the welfare schemes of the government. Once the original tribe is officially identified, it will become easier to reduce the development of these people.
