Bhopal: The corona crisis is once again increasing in Madhya Pradesh. In the midst of all this, voting is going on for the first phase of assembly elections in Assam and West Bengal today. In fact, if the Election Commission is to be believed, till 9 am, the first phase of the Assam Election has witnessed 8.84% polling and The first phase of Bengal witnessed 7.72% turnout. In the midst of all this, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has tweeted and appealed to the public.

 

 

CM Shivraj has written in a tweet- 'Today I appeal to the people of the seats of West Bengal where the voting for the Assembly 2021 is going on, that all of you should vote overwhelmingly, elections are the basis of democracy, for years the time has come to avenge the injustice done to all of you.' With this, he has written - 'Today is the day of voting for the first phase of assembly 2021 in West Bengal, today the people of Bengal will bless the BJP and will choose development by denying corruption, denying terror and choosing peace. And rejecting the scamers will elect those giving good governance.'

The first phase of polling started in 30 assembly constituencies of West Bengal and 47 assembly segments of Assam today i.e. Saturday morning amid tight security. In fact, in the 30 assembly constituencies of West Bengal, a total of 191 candidates are contesting their elections, while more than 73 lakh voters will exercise their franchise in 10288 polling booths in the state.
