On February 27 and March 3, Manipur will vote in two stages. The announcement of vote dates by the ECI has been welcomed by political parties in the state. People, party workers, and leaders who are considering running in the next Assembly elections should pick up forms at the Manipur Congress's headquarters.

Meanwhile, the BJP has ordered all of its units in the state to halt all gatherings and rallies in line with the ECI's order. The current Manipur Legislative Assembly's term will end on March 19, and elections will be held in two stages for 60 seats (40 General ACs, 1 SC, and 19 ST ACs).

Phase 1 of polling: February 27

There will be elections in 35 assembly constituencies throughout five Manipur districts: Imphal East, Imphal West, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, and Kangpokpi.

Phase 2 of polling: March 3

Elections will be held in 25 seats in six districts: Ukhrul, Tamenglong, Senapati, Jiribam, Thoubal, and Chandel.

Meanwhile, the model code of conduct (MCC) has taken force in Manipur, after the announcement of poll dates by the ECI.
